Lantex is widely recognised across the textile industry for its manufacturing expertise, particularly over the past 20 years in producing bespoke printed and dyed fabric collections for customers.

As a company now celebrating its 109th year of trading, Lantex has a long-standing heritage in supplying high-quality plain fabrics. Over the decades, these fabrics have been transformed into traditional constructions that stand the test of time.

One such fabric is fustian. Commonly used by upholsterers as a lining material in the production of high-end furniture, fustian is a heavy, durable textile traditionally woven with a cotton weft and a linen warp. Known for its strength and longevity, it has been trusted in upholstery for centuries.

Lantex has been producing fustian fabric for many years, with all weaving and finishing carried out locally in Lancashire - something few manufacturers can claim today.

Our fustian fabrics are supplied in rolls measuring 150cm in width and approximately 59metres per roll.

In addition to upholstery materials, Lantex supplies specialist fabrics for filtration services across a wide range of industries. We are also proud to supply fabrics to the Ministry of Defence for various applications.

We also supply loomstate canvas (often referred to as artist’s canvas), available in 10oz, 12oz, and 15oz weights.

At Lantex, we maintain healthy stock levels to ensure next-day delivery on most products. Certification is available for all fabrics, providing assurance of quality and compliance.

We can also supply fabrics in bespoke roll lengths, making them ideal for one-off or specialised projects. Please note that this service is not available for canvas products, which are supplied at a fixed width of 182 cm.
